Pitti Uomo was quite an experience this year. This is an event I try not to miss, because that’s a great time to catch up on the latest men’s fashion trends. Although it is suposed to be a trade show, it feels and breaths quality and high end fashion design.
I had the chance to spend some time with Lucca Rubinacci, from Rubinacci Napoli, an atelier with such an amazing tradition in tailoring and an admirable capacity to innovate. Fashion aside, I was so delighted to meet Lucca and his family history, that I got curious to visit Casa Rubinacci. I’m sure it represents the same elegance they bring to their tailoring. Hopefully, I will find some time to stop by at Napoli to check it out somtime soon.
Also had a fabulous time with my dear friend Frank Galluci and of course, I have to mention and congratulate Karl Largerfeld, who received the very much deserved Gold Florin for his contribution to the city’s image. In this edition of Pitti Immagine, Karl Largerfeld filled the rooms of Pitti Palace with some of his outstanding Chanel photography campaigns from over the past five years. A pleasure to gaze at!
There was a private ceremony at Palazzo Vecchio in his honour, which I was so sad to miss.
My regards dear Karl. Hope to catch up with you soon.
